Football 4 Football Bush Fire Relief

East Gippsland United FC

The East Gippsland community was devastated by the recent bushfires with many businesses, farmers and families impacted. So too was its football community.

Bush Fire Relief

Altona City Soccer Club committee members Dale Collins Club Secretary and Claire Randall Club Wellbeing Officer recently attended a Football Victoria event and listened to East Gippsland United President Ben Knight and Senior Coach, Committee Member and local volunteer CFA officers share the impact the fires had had on their local community.

Sadly, due to the effects of the bush fires, many East Gippsland United FC families find themselves unable to pay for their children’s soccer fees for season 2020.

Altona City would like to assist our fellow soccer club and raise $4,220 the amount needed to sponsor 11 children so they can once again take to the pitch in 2020 and continue playing the game they love.

How you can help?

There are plenty of ways you can make a donation and support our Bush Fire Relief Football 4 Football Fundraising cause.

RAFFLE $5 TICKETS

Our club has organised an amazing raffle with some great prizes. First prize is a framed 2020 Aston Villa jersey #18 signed by the entire team. If you don’t believe us – watch this video!

Raffle tickets will go on sale on the first day of the Lightning Cup – Sunday 22 March and cost $5 each.

Thereafter raffle tickets can be purchased at the club canteen and bar, on the second weekend of the Lightning Cup.

The raffle will be drawn on Saturday 25 April at the Senior Men’s Round 5 match.

HEAD SHAVE – TOBY WIGHT GoFundMe

Along with our Football 4 Football raffle being drawn, U18 player Toby Wight will be shaving his good crop of hair at half time.

You can make a donation to Toby’s GoFundMe page here – Toby’s received quite a bit of support on his page already so get in so we can reach our goal of raising $4,220 – http://bit.ly/GoFundMeF4F

Toby Wight

East Gippsland United FC is overwhelmed and extremely grateful to Altona City Soccer Club and its community doing this fundraiser.

Ben Knight President of East Gippsland United and Simon Ellis Senior Coach and CFA Volunteer will be attending this event to draw the raffle, meet and thank Toby and everyone else in our community who have contributed to the Bush Fire Relief Football 4 Football Fundraiser.

Our club volunteers will be collecting gold coin donations on entry to the Lightning Cup Tournament days – Sunday 22, Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March.
