ASCSC – Return to Play / Trials Conditions

Important Club Announcement

 Altona City Soccer Club

Return to Play / Trial  Conditions

As of 11 November 2020

Altona City Soccer Club has successfully navigated through the mandated requirements and guidelines from Football Victoria, Hobsons Bay City Council, and the State Government to allow trials to take place at Kim Reserve from Monday, November 16.

Please read all the documents below before you attend the trials. We envisage that coaches may face difficulties ensuring young players understand and adhere to the requirements and guidelines outlined. We ask that parents and carers discuss the requirements prior to returning to the pitch to assist the coaching team.
Please remember we are only allowed to take to the pitch under these guidelines laid out by Football Victoria, the State Government, and Hobsons Bay City Council.

Remembering Tony Cassar

forever in our hearts

Remembering Tony Cassar

There will only ever be one Tony Cassar.

And the Altona City Soccer Club Community are so pleased and privileged to have called him ours.

When the great Clubman passed the outpouring of love, memories and stories were both a testament to what Tony meant to our Club but most importantly what Tony meant to the people at our Club, the Altona City Soccer Club Community.

Here we share the stories and memories told.

Supporting East Gippsland United FC

The East Gippsland community was devastated by the bushfires last summer with many businesses, farmers and families impacted. So too was its football community. Altona City Soccer Club set up a fundraiser to support the families of the East Gippsland United FC that were unable to pay for their children’s 2020 soccer fees.
Unfortunately, due to COVID, our bush fire raffle and gold coin collection at the Lightning Cup was unable to take place.
Thankfully due to the determination of Toby, his family, and Football 4 Football Bush Relief fundraising coordinator Kim Powell the third planned part of our fundraising went ahead.
Altona City SC U18  player Toby Wright wanted to help the cause and put his hand up to shave his good crop of curly hair. A GoFundMe page was set up and Toby raised a very impressive $1,339.05 for the families of the East Gippsland FC.
Thank you, to Toby for stepping up and ‘donating’ his hair to assist with the bushfire fundraising efforts and to Kim Powell for all your hard work in leading the Football 4 Football Bush Fire Relief fundraising campaign.
Check out the before, during, and after photos of Toby’s head shave.
