End of Season Celebration and Awards2019
Junior Presentation
At Altona City Soccer Club we recognise the contribution our players bring to both their teams and our club. Each year we acknowledge and recognise players for their contribution with a number of awards at the presentation.
On Saturday 21 September we had plenty of fun at the 2019 junior presentations. Our U8-U13 junior teams celebrated at Luna Park with 190 attending which kept four Luna Park staff very busy checking them in and allocating wrist bands. While at our clubrooms the U14-16s celebrated with an outdoor movie screening Shazam in the evening.
Below is a summary of this year’s awards. Congratulations to all our junior players!
The Robert Bulic Award
The Robert Bulic Award is awarded to an U12 player in memory of former Altona City Soccer Club player Robert Bulic who tragically lost his life in 1984 while at a school camp.
The award is given to a player who demonstrates leadership, respect, compassion and integrity with a spirit for team and club.
This season there are two recipients. We congratulate A’lisandro Bradford and Jesse Longaretti-Schreppel for being the Robert Bulic Award recipients in 2019.
Congratulations A’lisandro and Jesse!
The MelindaJ Barbieri Award
MelindaJ Barbieri played junior soccer at Altona City and now plays for Melbourne Victory in the Australian W-League.The club created the award in her name to be presented to a junior female player who is considered to be someone who shows potential for being an A-League player.
This year the MelindaJ Barbieri Award recipient was Ayah Kaddour.
Congratulations Ayah!

Recognising Long Service Players at Altona City
The Long Service Player Certificates recognise players who have participated in and completed 10 consecutive seasons at Altona City Soccer Club.
The five players who commenced playing in the U6/7 junior teams have been recognised for their long service to the club playing in the U16s this year.
This achievement is quite a rare occurrence and we feel privileged to have these players at our club who have each demonstrated a great commitment to the Altona City Soccer Club and the game they love.

And a team photo after receiving their awards with Club President Charlie Gerada and players from L-R: Christian Kapulica, Ryan Powell, Caleb Sammut, Michael Campelj, Tamas Simonds (absent) with Club Coach Coordinator Vinnie Campelj and Robert Kapulica.
Congratulations!
