Michael Calandrella signs on as the new ACSC Senior Men’s Coach

26 SEPT 2021

The executive committee of Altona City Soccer Club is excited to announce the appointment of Michael Calandrella as the club’s Senior Men’s Coach for season 2022.

Calandrella comes with a wealth of football knowledge and experience having senior coaching experience in the NPL with St Albans Saints, Box Hill United and Pascoe Vale FC.

With a keen eye for talent, Michael is looking forward to building foundations at Altona City SC for ongoing future success.

“I’m very excited to be given the opportunity to lead the Senior Men’s team at Altona City in what is a very strong league. Discussion with the committee on the direction they are looking to take has been very positive, and the ambition they showed, made it a very easy decision for me”

“The club and the facility has a very intimate and strong community feel about it, and I look forward to getting the boys out on the park and getting to work for what I believe will be a very exciting journey. The coaching staff and I have set goals for the 2022 season, and we will do everything in our power to achieve them”

“We look forward to seeing our juniors and loyal supporters at our games and can ensure that the players and the coaching staff will do our best to make the Altona City family proud” – Mick Calandrella

The appointment of Michael is an important one for the Club and marries with the executive committee’s focus and commitment to success both on and off the field in 2022.
