Altona City Soccer Club Life Member John Innes passed away peacefully on Wednesday 2 October, aged 87.

As a life member of the Altona City Soccer Club, John was involved in setting up the Williamstown Soccer Club prior to the foundation of the Altona City Soccer Club. He was a valued Life Member of our club and our thoughts are with his son Kevin Innes and grandchildren at this time.

Kevin Innes commented that “the club was a second home for our family during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s.”

Club members are invited to a celebration of John’s life at the memorial service for John Innes at the Altona Memorial Park Chapel on Thursday 17 October at 1.00pm.

The Club will remember John with a minute’s silence at the first home game for 2020.
